Charlotte, NC—Gospel Trip, Update 1

The Charlotte, NC team arrived on Saturday, January 25th. On the next day, the team attended the table meeting at the meeting hall of the Church in Charlotte, followed by a sweet lunch fellowship in the homes of the local saints. In the evening, the local responsible brothers, 3 full-timers from Atlanta, and 1 BFA serving one provided an orientation to the team. The brothers emphasized the crucial importance of spending adequate morning time with the Lord before joining team coordination and gospel activities because our work should be an overflow of life. The full-timers also shared their experience of learning to fellowship and coordinate.

During the first team coordination on Monday, January 27th, the full-timers conducted a short training on how to present the uniqueness of the Recovery version, a study Bible translated from the perspective of the economy of God. After the coordination, the team set up the BFA table in the student union of UNC Charlotte. In a short period of 3.5 hours, we handed out 42 tracts and 60 Bibles and had conversations with a total of 47 students, among whom 33 signed up for further contact.

In the evening, the team attended the college meeting hosted by nearby community saints. We enjoyed the Lord together with 7 college students from Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) and UNC Charlotte along with many local saints.
