The church life in Pittsburgh is focused primarily on the campus work at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt), though the need to gain more families is of equal priority (and not necessarily separate). While the saints in Pittsburgh welcome all who would like to move here, there is a particular need for young, typical American families to migrate to the Pittsburgh area in order to share the burden of shepherding and gaining the local typical American population. Because the church in Pittsburgh does not have a meeting hall, the saints meet in homes and on the campuses. The church recently established a new church entity and began a children’s service schedule, and it supports the two Christians on Campus clubs at CMU and Pitt.
Virtual City Tours
Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the fields; Let us lodge in the villages. –Song of Songs 7:11
Now is the time for the advancement of the Lord's move in the United States. Amid the chaos of the pandemic, the economic upheaval, and the social unrest, the white horse of the gospel is running. May we all cooperate with the Lord by praying, giving, and spreading through migration to ten key cities in this country.
Five new campus teams have been formed, and the hope is that three hundred additional saints would migrate to these ten target cities. To help facilitate this move, we have arranged virtual tours of each city in the last two weekends of September, in which the attendees will meet the local saints and receive an overview of the situation and needs in that locality. Click below for more information.
This weekend is the first round of virtual tours for five of the ten GTCA target cities: Cincinnati, Lexington, St. Louis, Minneapolis, and Pittsburg. The following weekend will be the tours for Charlotte, Memphis, Orlando, Columbia and Richmond. An overview of the local situation and needs in these localities will be presented, and visitors can…Read More
